LASH EXTENSION CARE GUIDE
Beautiful Lashes Start
with the Right Care.
A little preparation before your appointment—and a few simple habits afterward—help improve comfort, retention, and the life of your extensions.
Before your Appointment
-
Arrive with completely clean, makeup-free lashes and avoid oil-based products around the eye area for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing and come ready to relax — many clients even take a nap.
-
Please don’t. Mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and other eye makeup can leave behind residue that affects how well lash extensions adhere.
-
We recommend removing contacts before your appointment when possible. If you wear them to your appointment, please bring a case and solution.
-
It’s best to limit caffeine for a few hours beforehand. Too much caffeine can make it harder to relax and may cause your eyes to flutter during your service.
-
To ensure a relaxing experience and allow your lash artist to focus, we ask that you come to your appointment alone unless prior arrangements have been made.
After your Appointment
-
Wash lashes daily with our exclusive lash-safe cleanser and rinse thoroughly. Gently pat dry, then brush with a clean spoolie once completely dry. Clean lashes help prevent oil, makeup, and bacteria buildup—and can improve retention.
-
Avoid heavy oils, greasy creams, and waterproof makeup directly around the lash line. Excessive heat and steam can also weaken retention, so use caution around saunas, ovens, grills, and very hot showers. Follow any specific curing instructions provided by your lash artist.
-
We recommend avoiding mascara and eyelash curlers while wearing extensions. Never pick, pull, or attempt to remove loose extensions yourself.
-
Sleep on your back or side when possible to avoid crushing or rubbing your lashes against your pillow.
-
Most guests should schedule fills every 3–4 weeks to keep their set looking full and polished.
Clean lashes last longer.
Daily cleansing is one of the easiest ways to protect your investment and keep your extensions looking their best.

Lash Lift + Brow Lamination FAQs

Yes. Wait at least 24–48 hours before applying mascara, brow makeup or products around the treated areas.
-
Keep them dry for the first 24–48 hours. After that, you can return to your usual cleansing routine.
-
Yes. After the initial waiting period, choose a water-based, non-waterproof mascara for best results.
-
Brow lamination reshapes the hair, and regular conditioning helps keep brows hydrated while preventing dryness, frizz and breakage.
-
Yes. Contact lenses must be removed before your service, so bring glasses to wear afterward if needed.
-
Lash lifts and brow laminations may not be appropriate if you have an active eye infection, irritated or broken skin, a recent eye procedure, severe sensitivity or a known allergy to the products. Contact Blend before your appointment if you're unsure.
-
Allow your lift or lamination to mostly grow out before your next service—typically about 6–8 weeks—to help prevent overprocessing.
Before Your Appointment —
Arrive with clean lashes and brows, free of makeup, mascara, oils, lotions and brow products. Avoid waterproof mascara for 48 hours before a lash lift.
For brow lamination, pause retinol, prescription retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs around the brows for 5–7 days. Avoid waxing, threading, tinting or bleaching your brows for at least 48 hours beforehand.
Allow your brow hair to grow in as much as possible for the best shaping results. Remove contact lenses before a lash lift, and let your artist know about any allergies, eye sensitivity, recent eye procedures or skin concerns.
After Your Appointment —
For the first 24–48 hours, keep lashes and brows dry and avoid steam, saunas, swimming, excessive sweating and very hot showers. Avoid rubbing or pressing the treated areas, and skip mascara, brow makeup, oils and heavy skincare.
After 48 hours, gently brush lashes and brows daily with a clean spoolie. Condition as recommended by your artist, avoid waterproof mascara and oil-heavy eye products, and gently restyle laminated brows after cleansing.
